The category no parabens includes products certified as free of this type of preservatives, often used in cosmetics due to their powerful fungicidal and bactericidal action. Thanks to various scientific research, over the years a correlation has been demonstrated between some parabens and the increased risk for humans of developing intolerances, allergic reactions or, in the most serious cases, hormonal dysfunctions which could contribute over time to the formation of carcinomas. Although the use of parabens is already regulated today by a European law which requires cosmetics manufacturers to have very low concentrations, many brands have chosen to exclude them completely from their formulations, preferring the use of alternasafer for human health.
